[he gestures vaguely away from eddie's desk, towards the hall in which the elevators are. he's not sure there's any real need to usher eddie away to discuss the incredibly serious matter of barry's blogging, but it seems equally weird to talk about it right here, especially when captain singh could walk out that door of his at any minute and ask them why they're talking about the internet and not work.]

[ eddie is maybe a little more elated by the fact that barry wants to ask him something than he probably should be, despite the fact that he's pretty sure he knows what it is barry wants to ask him about, which isn't exactly the same as barry wanting to come to him for advice. either way, it's a chance to actually have a conversation with barry, even if it might be a little awkward if eddie's right about the subject matter. he's just glad barry feels at least vaguely comfortable around him, enough to approach him about whatever it might be. ]

[ it's true; eddie has a policy of openness and honesty, and that's included barry since he started seeing iris. even though barry wasn't exactly ... there, the second he woke up eddie promised himself he'd do his best to make barry feel comfortable with the sudden addition of a near stranger in his life. it must have been more than jarring to wake up after nine months and find your life had totally changed, which is why eddie's made such an effort to reach out and gradually integrate himself into barry's life instead of just telling barry to get used to it. it's been slow going, sure, but eddie thinks this might be progress, at the very least. ]
