Character History:
[ 5x01 "SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL" ]

And then Sam touched — no, caressed, Dean's clavicle. 'This is wrong,' said Dean. 'Then I don't want to be right,' replied Sam, in a husky voice.

Right before Chuck (also known as Carver Edlund, author of the Supernatural book series that exists within the Supernatural series itself) contacts Becky Rosen for the first time, she is alone in her room writing steamy Wincest fanfiction on her computer. Or, well, it would have been steamy if Chuck hadn't interrupted her. But he does, and she proceeds to freak out that the author of her favorite book series is contacting her. She realizes he must have gotten all her letters — and her marzipan! (Yummy.) Chuck doesn't seem nearly as enthused as Becky, who is nearly hyperventilating at the fact that Carver Edlund is speaking to her. She interrupts whatever he's about to say to inform him that she's his number one fan.

You know, I'm samlicker81. Webmistress at morethanbrothers.net?

Chuck doesn't seem to have any idea what she's talking about (or care), but he concedes and affirms that, yes, of course she's his number one fan, and that's why he contacted her. Becky seems more than pleased by this. Chuck continues on to say that she's the only one who will believe him, that he's in trouble, that he's being watched. Becky looks concerned, is concerned, but she brightens when Chuck says he needs her help. She can hardly believe it, honestly, questioning him with "you need my help?" Chuck tells her he needs her to get a message to Sam and Dean, which, of course, Becky finds insulting at first because Sam and Dean are obviously not real.

Yes, Mr. Edlund, I know I'm a fan, but I really don't appreciate being mocked. I know that Supernatural is just a book, okay? I know the difference between fantasy and reality.

Chuck finally blurts out "Becky, it's all real," to which she responds with an excited bounce and an even more excited face. She knew it! And, just as Chuck asked of her, she arrives at the motel the Winchesters are staying at to deliver Chuck's message. When Sam first opens the door, Becky can hardly believe her eyes, and she can barely breathe, almost on the verge of precious fangirl tears, when she manages, through nervous mouthbreathing, "Sam, is it really you?" She seems completely lost in Sam's existence and the fact that personal space exists and she places a hand on Sam's chest, essentially feeling him up, commenting that he's so firm. This both disturbs and confuses the boys, but she finally admits that she knows who he is — he's Sam Winchester, and Dean ... is not what she pictured. She introduces herself and explains that she's read all about them in the Supernatural books (and conveniently glosses over the fact that she's written smutty fanfiction about them with a nervous laugh, though she almost admits it). She goes on to say that Mr. Edlund sent her.

He's got a message, but he's being watched. Angels. Nice change-up to the mythology, by the way. The demon stuff was getting kind of old.

Sam asks what the message is, and she tells him Chuck had a vision: "The Michael sword is on Earth. The angels lost it." When Sam asks if Chuck knows where it is, she says "in a castle, on a hill made of forty-two dogs." She looks upset when it doesn't seem to make sense to the boys, either, but that's all she knows, and she memorized every word. All for Sam. She touches his chest again and when he awkwardly asks her if she could stop touching him, she only replies with a decided (and slightly aroused) no.

THE FOLLOWING EPISODES, THOUGH IRRELEVANT TO HER CANONPOINT, ARE RELEVANT TO BECKY'S PERSONALITY AS A WHOLE.

[ 5x9 "THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS" ]

Becky returns eight episodes later, having "borrowed" Chuck's phone to send Sam a text with the address of the Pineview Hotel, claiming it's a life or death situation. When the boys arrive to a pacing Chuck, he has no idea what they're talking about until Becky arrives on the scene, more than excited that the boys actually came. She's especially excited to see Sam, and once again beings to find it hard to breathe. She even squeaks in glee when Sam remembers her name, then immediately starts to make eyes at him, lowering her voice to match the huskiness she'd described Sam's as in her fanfiction. "You've been thinking about me," she says, and when he looks uncomfortable, she laughs it off and waves her hand dismissively, reassuring him that it's okay, she can get him out of her head, either. She seems indignant that Chuck is upset that she borrowed his phone to text the boys, because obviously Sam and Dean witnessing the first ever Supernatural convention is more important than Chuck's feelings (and, you know, Sam and Dean's brains, which will inevitably get broken during all of this). She follows behind Sam and Dean into the hotel like an excited puppy, gauging their reactions with expectant glee.

It's awesome! A supernatural convention, the first ever.

In the main auditorium, Becky stands close to Sam, looking up at him every now and again wistfully while the manager of the convention speaks. She cheers and applauds with the rest of the fans when the manager announces The Big Hunt will start at 7 PM sharp. When the manager introduces Carver Edlund to the stage, Becky grins and waits with bated breath for Chuck to enter the stage, applauding and smiling widely when he finally does. Her expression seems to brag that she knows him. She stands by Sam the whole time Chuck answers questions from the audience, her face growing dark and protective of Sam when a fan questions why the boys could never tell that Ruby was evil and clearly manipulating Sam. She finally leaves her position by Sam to stalk toward the fan in question, feeling the righteous fangirl need to uphold Sam's honor.

Hey! If you don't like the books don't read 'em, Fritz.

She continues to stand and stare menacingly at Fritz until he sits back down and Chuck continues with the Q&A, where he announces that he's going to start publishing again. Becky can't contain her excitement and begins to jump up and down and scream at the news, much to Sam and Dean's dismay. After the Q&A, Becky is sitting in the foyer when Chuck brings over two cocktails and hands one of them to her. She smiles and thanks him, but when he tries to ask her if she's doing anything later, she's immediately distracted by Sam's presence and ignores him entirely in favor of enthusiastically greeting Sam. She continues to make eyes at him despite his very obvious attempts to not look at her. She exchanges an awkward glance with Chuck when Sam mentions that their lives aren't for "public consumption," and when Chuck asks Becky if he can have a moment with Sam and Dean in private, she nods quickly and agrees, knowing she has no place in this argument.

Oooo, the LARPing's started.

She explains to the boys that the conventions puts on a live action roleplay game and whoever solves the case wins a $50 gift card to Sizzler. She has the utmost confidence that they'll win, considering, you know, they're actually the Winchesters. After the game has already started, it becomes clear that the hotel is actually haunted, though Becky isn't made aware of this until one of the hotel staff tries to leave the auditorium Sam and Dean have left everyone in to protect them from homicidal ghosts. When one of the ghosts appears and attempts to kill the man who tried to leave, Chuck runs up with an iron stand and swings it through the ghost, much to the surprise and excitement of Becky. This is a new side of Chuck she hasn't seen, the brave side, the ... Sam side. After witnessing Chuck's act of bravery and confidence, she finds herself suddenly and deeply attracted to him, to the point that she touches her own chest and gives him the most intense bedroom eyes/come hither look ever.

Look, Sam. I'm not gonna lie. We had undeniable chemistry. But like a monkey on the sun, it was too hot to live. It can't go on. Chuck and I, we found each other. My yin to his proud yang. And well, the heart wants what the heart wants. I'm so, so sorry.

Before Sam and Dean depart to return to the road, Becky breaks it to Sam that they can't be together, that she's found Chuck. She seems devastated by this, but at the same time elated because she's found The One. Sam at least plays along and pretends to be heartbroken, which seems to put Becky's heart at ease. She couldn't live with herself if she knew she'd hurt him. Sam says it's okay with them if Chuck publishes more books — no, just kidding, it's not. They have guns, and they will find him. Becky looks more disappointed by this than Chuck. Then, just before Sam leaves, Becky remembers something — she reminds Sam of Bela, the British cat burglar (by specific chapter and book title, of course), informing him that she was lying, that she didn't actually give the Colt to Lilith, she gave it to Crowley. Sam asks why Chuck never told him this, and he admits that he forgot, and that Becky is more of a fan than he is. Becky looks exceptionally validated, especially when Sam tells her to tell him everything.

[ 7x08 "SEASON 7, TIME FOR A WEDDING!" ]

DEAN:Ignoring everything, have you forgotten the average life-span of your hookups?
BECKY:But if anyone knows that, it's me. I mean, I read every book. So, open eyes, you know? Open eyes.

Two seasons later, Becky shows up in Las Vegas, knowing the boys will be there for Vegas Week because she read about it in the books, and drugs Sam with love potion so he'll marry her. She even lets Sam do all the monster tests to make sure she's not a monster — and of course she's not, she's just the right girl for Dean's brother. She takes Sam back to her hometown, Pike Creek, Delaware, and shows him off while she RSVPs to her high school reunion, finally showing up her high school nemesis Jocelyn Caruso, who used to torment her when they were in school by calling her "Yecky Becky." Leading up to this, and even during and after, she livetweets these events for her followers on Twitter.

After she RSVPs, she meets up with her friend Guy, who is a meeting planner, and also the one in charge of coordinating Becky's high school reunion. She introduces him to Sam, and explains that she met Guy in the erotic horror section of the Novel Hovel, a local bookstore. She looks pleased when they seem to like each other. When Guy excuses himself, Becky runs after him asking him to wait, and if he got her message. He tells her of course and to give him a hug, so he can inconspicuously hand her a small bottle of love potion. She quickly hides it in her bag, trying not to look too guilty for asking for it in the first place.

I swear, if everyone had a Wiccan in their pocket, the world would be a happier place.

At Becky's place that evening, she and Sam share a candlelight dinner. She comes out in lingerie that she says she was saving for Sam. When they toast to them, the love potion from before abruptly wears off and Sam becomes disoriented as to where is he and why he's with Becky. She asks him if he's okay and tries not to panic. She plants herself in his lap and kisses him in an attempt to distract him so she can pour more love potion into his champagne. She makes him drink it and just as the potion kicks in, she reminds him that they're celebrating. Sam still seems a bit disoriented, and this concerns her, but when she asks him if he's feeling better and he replies "now that I'm with you," this seems to put her mind at ease, though it was still too close a call for comfort.

When Dean shows up later to offer his (begrudging) support and to tell Sam about a case he's found in Pine Creek, he finds out that Sam and Becky are already working the case together. She has a very neat wall of case info and maps in her bedroom, and she tells Dean that their first thought was crossroads demon (but there's the ten-year time frame on collecting souls) or cursed object, like Bad Day At Black Rock (except they haven't found a connection between any of the victims). Dean refuses to buy the fact that Sam is in his right mind because he married Becky, which obviously upsets her.

What are you saying? I'm a witch? Or maybe I'm a siren. Ever occur to you we're just — I don't know — happy?

When Dean continues to accuse Becky of somehow being involved in what's going on with people's dreams coming true and them getting offed right after (because Sam is Becky's dream), Sam comes to her defense and tells Dean off, tells him that this is him moving on and he doesn't need Dean anymore. Despite the fact that Becky is married to Sam, she still sighs wistfully at the boys arguing. Old habits die hard, and you never stop loving your first ship, even if it is incest...

After Dean leaves, Becky pulls out her journal. The pages are full of Sam <3s Becky over and over, and she colors in a large red heart with a scented pen. When she's finished, she smells it and some of the ink rubs off on her nose. Sam walks in and she quickly closes the journal and tries to hide it. He notices the ink on her nose and rubs it off for her, and she looks as if she might faint just from him touching her. She looks almost guilty about it until Sam tells her he got her a present and hands her two fake ID badges. She brightens immediately and begins to look over the newspaper Sam hands to her, with an article about a junior salesman suddenly becoming CEO of an insurance company. While she's distracted by the article, Sam opens the journal and Becky looks something like a deer caught in headlights until Sam admits that he thinks her obsessive doodles are beautiful. She becomes even more excited when Sam asks what she thinks about the case, replying with an exuberant, "Let's go pretext him!" Sam and Becky beat Dean and Garth to the CEO's office. She glares at Dean before giving the boys a chance to talk to each other alone. Sam tells Dean that Becky's a natural, that she grilled the CEO like a pro.

Back at Becky's place, she continues to tweet updates about the status of her relationship with Sam. After the case, they're going to go on a romantic honeymoon getaway — except for the fact that the potion starts to wear off again. She fumbles in her purse for the bottle Guy gave her, only to find that it's leaked into her bag. She calls Guy and tells him that she needs to meet up fast because she's losing Sam. When Sam asks her what's going on, she looks distraught and tells him pathetically that they're married. In a fit of panic, she knocks Sam out with the waffle iron Dean gave them as a wedding present. Somehow she manages to transport him to a the cabin her dad used to take her to as a little girl and ties him up to a bed. When he comes to, she worries over him and asks him if he's feeling concussiony, waving her fingers in his face to make sure he's okay.

SAM:Calm down?! You hogtied me t— Becky, why — why am I not wearing any pants?
BECKY:They're very constricting. Don't worry. I didn't do anything weird. I was helping.

Despite how upset Sam is (for good reason), Becky continues to act like she's done nothing wrong and tries to offer him something to drink or something to, you know, pee in. She's just trying to be helpful! And she can't just let Sam go, not after she worked so hard to get him. Guy finally Skype calls her and she rushes to answer him, explaining that she's out of elixir and needs more, that she's got Sam tied to a bed, and this definitely wasn't the honeymoon she had in mind (at least, not in this context), and, maybe it's just her, but the elixir seems to be wearing off faster and faster. Guy tells her to breathe and she does so, looking distraught as she admits that she and Sam haven't even consummated their marriage yet.

We were taking it slow 'cause true love is forever, but everything just feels weird now.

She returns to Sam after her conversation with Guy, only to find out that Sam overheard pretty much everything and put the pieces together. She tries to explain that it's not like that, that she may have used a "social lubricant," but they had a good time together, they were happy. Sam isn't convinced or thrilled, especially considered Becky's leaving him tied to a bed, and he tries to tell her that her friend Guy is the one responsible for the deaths that have been happening. Becky denies this, telling Sam that Guy isn't a witch, he's a Wiccan and Wiccans are good like Glinda of Oz. Sam tries to reason with her, telling her that she's not this stupid, that there are never two crazy things in town at the same time, but she refuses to admit it because she wants so desperately to believe that Guy is her friend. He even gives her the elixir for free! That has to count for something, right?

And he said it wouldn't even work unless you already loved me, deep down.

Deep, deep down... Sam says if she really believes that, she should untie him, but her fear of losing him causes her to shove a handkerchief in his mouth, telling him that he's still working through his emotions. She leaves to go meet with Guy, waving enthusiastically at Sam with an "I love you, too!" as if there's nothing wrong with this situation at all.

She meets Guy at the restaurant where her reunion is being held, looking pretty down. He tries to offer her something to drink, but she shakes her head without a word. He seems to get the message and cuts straight to the point, taking out a bottle of elixir for her. When she tries to grab it, he yanks it back, which both confuses and upsets her. He wants to talk price, just like Sam said. Of course, she knew Sam was right all along, but still still wants to believe that she and Guy are besties, because she has no one else.

GUY:Ohh, honey. That is so depressingly 'Becky.' I mean, it's — you're so pathetic, it actually loops back around again to cute.

She's so desperate to keep Sam, though, so she's willing to pay if he wants her to. Except for the fact that he wants her soul. She finally realizes Sam was right all along, that Guy is a crossroads demon and he's the one who's been killing all those people, and that he's just been using her this whole time. She tells him she's not stupid, that she won't take a deal if a piano is just going to fall on her head the next day. Guy tells her she's special, which almost has her reconsidering. He's offering her 25 years for her soul, as long as she doesn't breathe a word about him to the Winchesters, and then he'll scram right out of town. It's an offer for Sam to love her for the rest of her life — an offer she almost can't refuse.

Well... this is not how I imagined spending my reunion. I was gonna show you off — not that anyone actually knows who you are. Supernatural is not exactly popular, but... you're tall... and nice and... they'd all think I was happy.

When she returns to the cabin, she knows Sam is in no mood to see her, and she feels awful about what she's done, too. But she just wants to talk, so she joins him on the bed and lays down next to him with her head on his chest, still ignoring all sense of personal space. She goes on to say that she knows he doesn't love her, that she knows what she is — she's a loser: in school, and in life, which is why she likes Sam so much, because he had that whole arc about being a freak and she can relate. She says the only place people ever understood her was on the message boards — they were grumpy and over-literal, but at least they shared a common passion. She sits up and begins to rub Sam's chest as she talks about meeting the real Sam and Dean and dating Chuck, and how amazing everything was until they left and Chuck dumped her. She probably intimidated him with her vibrant sexuality.

I just want somebody who loves me for me! Is that so much to ask?

Sam tells her if she wants that, maybe she shouldn't drug people, but Becky protests that she wants him and this is the only way she can have him. Sam says she's better than this, but as sweet as that is, Becky has to disagree with him. Later, back at the restaurant after the reunion is over, Becky sits with a drink glumly and finally decides that she'll take Guy's offer, but when they meet to seal the deal with a kiss, Becky throws a lighter on the ground and traps Guy in a devil's trap, just like Sam told her to. She runs over to Sam hoping that by helping out she'll be back in his good graces, but he doesn't seem impressed so she just stands awkwardly off to the side while the boys take care of the rest. When things start to go south, Sam tells Becky to run, but instead of running away, she runs to grabs Dean's demon slaying knife from the floor and ganks Guy's demon-in-command from behind. Sam throws Dean the knife and Dean is about to gank Guy when Crowley shows up. Becky is taking cover behind Sam, but of course she recognizes Crowley, the King of Hell, from the books — or, at least, from the manuscripts she had access to when she was dating Chuck (that she later put up on the web according to Charlie).

After they hand Guy over to Crowley, they return to Becky's apartment and have her sign an annulment. Sam begrudgingly thanks her for saving his life, but tells her they'll probably never see each other again, which upsets her, but what can she really do? She knows what she did was wrong, and this is the only way to fix it. Sam tries to reassure her that she's not a loser, that she has a lot of... energy, and that if she just keeps doing whatever it is that she does, eventually the right guy will come along. She shares an awkward yet hopeful glance with Garth, only to be crushed by Dean telling Garth no. The last we see of Becky is her sitting alone at her table, watching everyone leave her again.

Abilities/Special Powers:
None, though she would consider her knowledge on the Supernatural books above average. As the self-proclaimed #1 Fan, she knows those books backwards and forwards (even Chuck admits she knows them better than himself, and he wrote them).

Third-Person Sample:
After the inevitable commotion of her arrival (not that she had anticipated that at all), Becky needs some time alone to just think. Everything she's ever loved is real, and most of them are here. More than most of them, actually. It's hard to contain her excitement, but she's doing her best not to jump up and down every five seconds when she thinks about Sam and how tall and real and here he is. She wants to go find him, knock on every door until he answers, but that's probably not a good idea, especially with the part about the mansion having an infinite number of rooms or something... He didn't seem particularly thrilled to see her, anyway, despite the fact that she hadn't met him until this very day, but they can work on figuring all that stuff out later. Sam Winchester is real and that's all that really matters to Becky.

She takes a journal and a pen out to the shoreline and sits on the edge of the dock with her legs hanging over the water. She could just jot down her thoughts on the computer that's in her room, but she'd rather enjoy the fresh air and the sea breeze because that's what actually reminds her of home. Not the ocean so much, just the water and dock, and the calmness she feels just by being around it. It reminds her of spending time with her family out their cabin on Loon Lake, when she still used to go fishing with her dad. It's not even the fishing part she enjoyed, it was spending time with her dad before he died. If anything, she wishes he were here, to see all her dreams coming true, even if she has been kidnapped to some kind of alternate dimension between life and death.

She opens her journal and starts writing everything she can remember about the things people have told her over the network, including all the names of the people from home and, in some cases, what they are. Angels, demons, the Winchesters themselves, even the Harvelles and some people she's never heard of. The Winchesters are apparently pretty popular around these parts, too. It feels like she has some kind of family already, despite feeling alone almost all her life. The forums used to be her family, but they always felt so impersonal. This feels real, and, for a kidnapping or whatever it may be, it doesn't seem too bad. Except for maybe the part about the demons. But she can totally work around that. Especially with the Winchesters around? How could she not feel safe?

First-Person Sample:
[ becky wakes in a room that looks almost exactly like the one she'd been taken from, right down to the cheesy supernatural posters and WINCHESTER BLVD street sign on her wall. she doesn't notice anything particularly out of the ordinary until she looks up and past her computer to find that there isn't a window, just a wall. that's weird. she looks around her room for a moment, getting a strange sense that everything is slightly off. everything is the right color, but nothing is really hers. she turns back to her desk, and that's when she notices the phone. it's not her phone, but it looks just like it. if someone left it for her, obviously they want her to use it... right? ]

Hello? My name is Becky Rosen and... I'm not sure where I am or how I got here or why this room looks almost exactly like my room, but I promise I didn't do anything. I mean, I think the worst I've done is write that one fanfic... [ she looks away hesitantly, not wanting to go into any details. it's really better no one knows about That One Fanfic. ] Um, anyway, I don't really have any friends or money or anything... But it would be nice to know what's going on around here. I mean, it's not exactly All Hell Breaks Loose bad as far as kidnappings go, but the least they could do if they're going to kidnap me and give me all the comforts of home is copy all my computer files... I had a lot of good stuff on there.
